By law, employers must carry out a risk assessment regarding COVID 19.
We are offering full COVID 19 risk assessments, which are aimed at getting companies back to work safely, when possible. The audit is based on guidance issued by Public Health England (PHE), The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Our consultants have received formal training on COVID 19 through IOSH.
The HSE have stated that additional funding has been given to them, to ramp up their own inspections, to ensure companies are effectively looking after their staff, with regards to the Coronavirus.
The audit will look at issues such as:-
Physical control measures – such as one way systems, signage and markings, high risk areas of cross contamination, areas where social distancing may be difficult, provision of canteens, provision of hand sanitiser/PPE, polycarbonate barriers or screens etc.
Procedural issues – Training, reporting, shift patterns, cleaning regimes, customer and visitor management, staff working practices.
Documentation – Including policies, procedures, risk assessments, training records and responsibilities for individuals.
Staff Wellbeing – Procedures for dealing with staff showing symptoms, high risk staff, health questionnaires, and self isolation.
